The first phase involves demolishing around two thirds of the existing buildings and replacing them with a state-of-the-art 32-bed care home.

Quantum were appointed to advise on all aspects of architectural acoustics including external noise intrusion, sound insulation and room acoustics/finishes. Quantum were also appointed  to advise on all aspects of building services noise and vibration control. Due to the noise sensitivity of the site, environmental noise emissions from the air source heat pumps and kitchen extractor fan were particularly challenging.
